İlknur Arslan, a sophomore in the Industrial Molding Department of OMÜ Yeşilyurt Iron and Steel Vocational School, a school where job offers arrive before graduation and where Samsun 's industrial sector sometimes struggles to meet its labor needs, sets an example for both her family and women with her determination. The 45-year-old Arslan is studying moldmaking, a field she has been interested in since childhood, and is the only woman among 30 male students in her class.

İlknur Arslan, who stated that her interest in mold making dates back many years, said, "It's been a field I've been interested in since childhood. I learned about the opportunity to study in this department through a friend. We take classes in technical drawing, computer-aided drawing, and material technology. We also have hands-on training in the workshop. Generally, we gain theoretical and practical knowledge in mold making here."
